The 8th Annual Circle of Care is sure to be another wonderful event dedicated to helping the caregivers of Manatee County. As always, this event is free. Pre-Registration is required. Detailed agenda below.

Who Should Attend?

Are you responsible for the care of a family member, neighbor or friend? This program is appropriate for caregivers of all types. Discussions will address issues of early decisions and the planning involved for people who care for those who cannot care for themselves. Learn of the resources available to you. Come and hear individuals from the community who are truly meeting the challenges and reaping the rewards of caregiving.

About Keynote Speaker:

E.N. (Chip) BursonChip Burson's working life has evolved from clinical therapist and counselor through medical service systems president, to successful entrepreneur and corporate CEO of a publically traded healthcare and education corporation. Chip is now devoting his life to alternative pursuits in teaching, training, and charitable enterprise. He serves as managing director of HELIX Integrative Institute, under the aegis of a 501 (C)(3) charitable foundation. Their efforts are dedicated to bringing Mindfulness-based training to Healthcare, Education, Government, and Communities.

About Reba C. Rogers:

Reba C. RogersReba C. Rogers is a Certified Public Accountant who has lived in Bradenton, Florida, since 1999. She has a BS in Accounting from Florida State University and a MBA from Florida International University. Reba began her career in public accounting working for Peat Marwick & Mitchell CPAs. After obtaining her CPA certification, she transitioned into the corporate accounting and tax arena. She spent 25+ years in corporate America serving as Chief Financial Officer for several property and casualty insurance companies.

Her corporate career offered her the opportunity to live in Miami, Florida; Princeton, New Jersey; Charleston, South Carolina; and Denver, Colorado. However, she was raised in Orlando, Florida, and her desire to be closer to home as her parents aged brought her to Bradenton.

In 2002, Reba created Secure Aging, a company focused on protecting the assets of vulnerable seniors. It operated as a division of her successful Bradenton CPA firm, AAA Bookkeeping & Tax Service, for 11 years. After selling the CPA practice in 2013, she devoted all of her energy into building Secure Aging. Her goal is to maintain the independence and integrity of her clients assuring that they will have sufficient money to live life to its fullest.

Reba serves on the Boards of Women's Resource Center of Manatee, Manatee County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, Harbour Landings Homeowners Association, and is a Director Consultant for Business Network International (BNI) in Southwest Florida.

She loves to speak to senior groups about topics such as asset documentation, tax tips for seniors, current scams to watch out for, and watching out for seniors in the community who might need assistance.
